James, William, Cambria Co. PA; 1870
Posted by: Linda (Noland) Layman (ID *****8388) Date: May 06, 2005 at 15:52:13
  of 71

James Lawn came to this country before 1870. His wife Mary was born in 1850 on a ship coming to America from Ireland.
Her maiden name was possibly Bailey. On the 1870 census for Cambria County she is married to James and has no children. On the 1890 census she is in the Philadelphia
area with the Fitsimmons family and is listed as a step-daughter, with four children. Also listed was another step-daughter, Jane Bailey. Mrs. Fitsimmons, Jane, was 50; Mr. Fitsimmons was 30.

A friend is looking for this information on his father's family.
