"Aunt Clara" was the sister of my grand mother, Charlotte Laws who married Dan Falls Belden and had two sons, John, and Robert.Robert Belden, my father, ran away from home as a young man and changed his surname back to Laws, honoring his own grandmother, Annie Louise Church Laws.I met Clara and her sister Alice ("Aunt Si") and also knew Henry. At one time,"Uncle Henry" had a flour mill in Stockton where my father worked during school holiday in the summer.I can't connect the original John Laws of Maryland with the Bolitha who built Ft. Washington and died during the construction of Ft. Monroe. That Bolitha had a son, Bolitha, who was the father of Robert James Laws, our gg grandfather.I am delighted to be in touch with you and hope that we might be of mutual help in sorting out our past.Best Regards, Cousin Robert
