Hello Rob

First, most of my info is unverified. Rec’d it from another Laymon descendant. If you have direct info from a living relative, it may be more credible. Claribel would be Ottice’s neice, and likely to have accurate info regarding Charles Pulse, and certainly you would too as his grandson. I would be interested in more info on your line down from James Monroe LAYMON and Harriet. (I have her in my file as Hattie E FISHER. Harriet sounds more accurate. Maybe you could confirm that.)

Ottice Laymon was my maternal grandmother. Unverified info I have: b Feb 5, 1874 in Lynchburg, Highland Co, OH; m Oct 18,1899 in Highland Co to Elmer Scott KING also from Highland Co. Ottice and Elmer had only one child Thelma Claire KING b 7/23/1901 in Cincinnati (my mother). Ottice died about 1903-04 from illness. Elmer later remarried about 1908 to Esther A MILLER from Cincinnati. I don’t have Ottice’s birth or death certificates yet, but will try to get them. I am going on my mother’s verbal info that she was only “two or three” when her mother (Ottice) died. That would put Ottice's death about 1903-04. I assume she died in Cincinnati as my mother lived there all her life. Sorry that I have no other info on Ottice.

Do you live in the Highland Co area? I’m in Honolulu (not so convenient to run over to the courthouse in Hillsboro!)

Scott
