Marriage(1): William and Anna were married by Rev. Daniel Fidler (received as a minister in
the Methodist Episcopal Church in 1789).
There were three Fidler ministers in the ME denomination back at that time,
Daniel and Noah, who were brothers were circuit riders in the first circuit
established - the Redstone Circuit which was said to include all of the
Monongahela Valley. John Fidler, was their cousin; he was received as a circuit
rider in 1785. The Fidler line goes back through Ephrata Cloister and back into
New Jersey just as some of the other Leas associated lines such as the
HUSBAND NOTES: William S. LEAS Sr.
Migration(2): William Leas was the third brother to arrive from Adams County. He was said to
have been of German ancestry.
Land Transact'n: One William Leas also bought lots in the new towns of Lewisburg and Eaton, Ohio.

Birth: In the 1887 obituary of Elizabeth Leas Wilson, a daughter of William and Anna
Swisher Leas, Elizabeth is reported to have been "born in 1805 as her parents
Wm and Anna Leas moved from Pennsylvania to Preble County, Ohio."
