I am a descendent of this John and Sophia Spangler Leas through John II,III,IV, etc. I have the informtion on the LEAS GENEALOGY prepared in 1950 by my father's cousin Fay Leas of Fort Wayne, IN. I am interested in discovering further information on the John Leas families. I have visited Adams County, PA, the Bermudian Cemetery and New Berlin, PA the area from which came this branch of the Leas family. The direct ancestors came to Indiana, DeKalb and Steuben Counties about 1840s from Starke County, OH. I have visited the cemeteries on County Line Road in DeKalb County and the cemetery in Waterloo, IN where the John Leas II and John Leas III are buried, along with other members of the family. I currently live in Fort Wayne, IN and am originally from Indianapolis.
