Rachel leas was the daughter of William Jones Leas and Nancy ann williams. I have Nancy's psalm book in which she entered the births of her children as they were born. William J Leas appears in the 1830 cencus as "Leasy"
Nancy williams' parents are buried in the methodist church cemetery at Noblestown, Allegheny County PA.
My brother has the family bible of henry W Leas, a brother of your Rachel Leas. Henry w had a daughter he named Rachel. This rachel died in 1937. I have a daughter rachel, born 1976.
These were good ladies and were well enough thought of to keep the name going from generations past to this day.
