Hi John,

I'm just starting to try to help my 10-year-old granddaughter do the other side of her family tree. The only SOLID information I have at this point is that Ellis LeBoeuf was born 18 Jun 1905, died in Feb 1987, lived in Montegut, Terrebonne, LA. He was her great-grandfather, or g-g-grandfather.

I'm wondering if you have any information on him being a descendant of the Leboeufs in French Canada and Louisiana, since I see in that descendancy LeBoeufs in Montegut (I wouldn't think that that was a common name).

Any assistance you can provide will be greatly appreciated!!! especially by my granddaughter who is very interested in her family's past.

Thanks. Sue
