Hello Christine.....I may have a bit (okay maybe more than a bit) of information about the Leboeuf's in southern Ontario and Quebec. For one thing your great grandfather Philibert and my great grandfather Arthur were brothers - the children of Nazaire and Edwedge (Demers). Here is information written some time ago by my Aunt Blanche...

Nazaire and his family came to Essex County in 1880 (I question this information as my grand father Arthur shows up in the 1901 census in Quebec) and settled in Lot 3, East River Ruscomb Road.

Their eleven children were all born at St. Jean, Deschaillons, P.Q., a town on the south shore of the St. Lawerence River about twenty-five miles east of Trois Rivieres, P.Q.

Nazaire and his wife Edwedge left a long line of descendants, whose talents and expertise in all stations of life have contributed to the betterment of the County.

Nazaire and his family were loyal supporters of the St. Joachim parish, and were model citizens.

I'd like to share more inforamtion with you. Send me your e-mail address and I will get in touch with you.
