Hi Angela,
My Nan told me in a random conversation many years ago that her father's (My Great Grandfather) middle name was St Helier named after where the family had come from. Little did I know that this one piece of information would take me to where it did!

The family originate from St Heliers, Channel Isle, Jersey. I managed to find a local researcher to assist me. Its my Great Grandfathers mother who is the Le Boeuf - Jessie Le Bouef born 29 march 1863. I believe that her father (Elie or Elias Le Boeuf) was your James Le Boeuf's brother. I do have James and Lousia on my tree.

Here are some extra details for you -

Jean Le Boeuf married Jeanne Alexandre (no dates known)
They had at least one child Philippe Le Boeuf
Philippe Le Boeuf was baptised 18/5/1790

He married Jeanne Anne Le Geyt on 2/8/1811

He was buried in St Helier, Jersey on 1/3/1835

Philippe and Jeanne Anne had the following children
Elie (Elias) (1818-1890) - my link
Eliza (1813-dec.)
Jane (b.1812)
Phillipe (b.1814)
George (b.1815)
Jean (John) (b.1816)
Betsey (b.1819)
Anne (b.1821)
Charles (b.1822)
Louisa (b.1823)
James (b.1825) - your link
Mary Ann (b.1829)
William (b.1830)
Frederick (b.1832)

PS I got your email and responded to it a few days ago - I have attached additional information for you too on my branch! Hope to hear from you soon
