Thanks so much for getting back in touch with me. I'm thinking that the Richard LeBrun you found & the Richard LeBrun I found are different people.

My uncle served, enlisting from the east coast (Boston). My mother told me some time ago that he had been part of the "Famous Fighting Sea Bees" in the So. Pacific, but honestly, I know little else about how & where he may have served.

My uncle also had moved to Florida about 10+ years ago so I'm pretty sure he's not your friend.

I do know that my father enlisted in the US Coast Guard near the end of the war at age 17, being younger. There are other stories, of course.

Thanks so much for your kind response. I'm really glad that you found your friend. Thank you for the gift of your time and service to our country when we needed you. I wish for you the best of all things.
