Simone Lebrun 1925-2009

Simone G. “Sam” Lebrun, 84, of Nashua, widow of Ralph F. Lebrun, died on August 1, 2009 at Greenbriar Terrace Healthcare after a period of declining health in the arms of her loving son, Raymond Lebrun surrounded by her family who loved her dearly.

A lifelong resident of Nashua, Simone was born on February 16, 1925, daughter of the late Hector and Alida (LaPorte) Bibeau, Simone was educated in Nashua schools. Mrs. Lebrun had worked at Royal Business Forms. Simone was accomplished at singing and yodeling. She, accompanied by her late husband who played the violin, performed together at the former WOTW radio station and Lonestar Ranch back in the 1950s. She and her husband were once the opening act at Lonestar Ranch for the late Johnny Cash.

Simone and her husband were married in Nashua on April 1, 1944 and they made their home on West Hollis Street for many years. The couple enjoyed 34 years of marriage together.

Before she became ill, Simone enjoyed having “Garage” sales on weekends and also had a space at the Simoneau Plaza Flea Market. She enjoyed meeting people and she loved to draw and paint. She loved spending time with her family as well.
Members of her family include her son, Raymond R. Lebrun and her daughter-in-law, Linda J. Lebrun of Nashua; three granddaughters, Kathi Geddes, Debra Trybe and her husband Rick, and Jennifer Ennis, who lovingly took care of her grandmother at Greenbriar where she worked. She had three great-grandchildren, Danielle Geddes, Brianna Soucy and Micheyla Ennis. She had three
step-grandchildren, Christopher Cates, Timothy Cates and his wife Kimberly, and Angela Marquis and six step-great-grandchildren, Zach and Julian Cates, Timothy A. Cates Jr., Star Dehner, Annabel and Willow Marquis; her sister, Solange Pelletier of Merrimack, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Simone was predeceased by four siblings.
There will be no calling hours. A Mass will be held at St. Louis de Gonzaga Church 48 W. Hollis Street on Thursday August 6, 2009 at 9:30 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Louis Cemetery. Following the committal service, family and friends are invited to the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Ray and Lin Lebrun.

The Cremation Society of New Hampshire is in charge of arrangements.
