Gustave LeBrun - Louisiana (1850's )
Posted by: Debra LeBrun (ID *****6753) Date: February 26, 2010 at 22:02:24

My great grandfather is Gustave LeBrun, his son Leonie LeBrun is my grandfather, and his son Nicholas LeBrun is my father. I am not sure where to start father is deceased. I believe he was born in Platte de Ville of Ville Platte, LA. Does anyone have information on Gustave LeBrun?

I am told that I had a great great great (not sure how many greats) grandfather who came from France. In the state capitol of Louisiana there is a placque or statue that he brought here during or after the Louisiana purchase.

If someone could give me a start, I will continue.
