Hi Nicole,
Your message caught my attention because my ancestor Joseph Lebrun (dit Laforest) also came to Quebec with Montcalm's La Sarre regiment arriving in 1756. He was born in 1728 in Lucheux, France, the son of Joseph Lebrun and Marie Catherine Bernard. He married Elizabeth Danis in 1760 in Montreal. Your Jean Baptiste Lebrun Duplessis is indeed on Montcalm's regiment list. If you would like more details about the activities of Montcalm's regiments let me know. There are several references to Jean Baptiste Lebrun Duplessis in early Quebec: marriage in 1762, births of children in 1763, 1768, 1769, etc. You can see these in the PRDH databases. Good luck!
