hi Mark not sure how long ago you posted this but i have some more information on the name Leckie for you.
There indeed is or was a place named leckie in stirlingshire
and no doubt this is where some of the leckie's have got their name. The other line of the name comes from the Clan MacGregor whom several hundred years ago were outlawed after a dispute/fight with the clan campbell. After becoming outlaws a lot of the clan took on new names so as to remain hidden from the law as such at the time. Hope this interests you Mark.
