How can I purchase this book of "The Leckie Clan Homelands". It would enhance the Leckie Barony knowledge provided by the "rare old" book that was given to me by my son Thomas Lackey. The book I have is "Leckie of Leckie" (Leckie of that ilk 1567), by R.G.E.L., published in Vancouver, British Columbia in 1913. I have tried to locate other copies of this book, but none to date. I've been thinking of having a digital copy made of my book. It is a well referenced documentary on the descent of the Leckie family, including the Earls of Lennox. The author states that in his researches he came across many references to junior branches (which we are all likely most interested in)of the Leckie family. He states that he planned some day to prepare these junior branches for publication. I don't think he ever did since I can't find such a publication. His book includes appendices on each Laird of Leckie and limits family tree history to the main line beginning 965 AD and stops with the last Laird of Leckie (John Leckie)in about 1668 AD. Among other books of interest referenced are "History of Scotland" by Geo. Buchanan (tranlated by Aikman), 1827 ed, and the County Court Book of Stirling---"The Lairds of Leckie" by W B. Cook.
