I'm wondering where your link is - are you descended from one of Anne Rome's brothers or sisters, or from one of the Leckie siblings. According to my records, his father, Samuel Leckie, had around 10 brothers and sisters, including John who founded Leckie and Co and who was the uncle Robert went to work for in Toronto when he was about 16.
