I have just found your post. We have Australian Leckies descended from the Leckies you talk about. Elizabeth Leckie was the sister of Robert Gilmour Leckie. She married Robert Easton Pollock in Renfrew Scotland in 1852.
Their two surviving children, Robert and Elizabeth both emigrated to Australia.

I would be most grateful if someone with the book could tell me more of their ancestry. I have only been able to get back to Robert G Leckie's parents, Robert Bailie Leckie and Margaret Gilmour. Any information is much appreciated.
