Thank you for the prompt reply. I do have a question--I don't understand "the Barony of Leckie was given to the Moir family". Can you give me information on this?
Could this be the James Leckie b abt. 1651, the same one born to John and Isobel Walker?

My lineage is from either John or William. Both had sons named Samuel, and can't deceide which one is the right Samuel since birthdays are a couple of yr. apart. I am looking for Samuel, the father of Adam Allen.
I knew there were two brothers, William and John. Glad to find out there were three more.
You have been most helpful.
Any other info. you have or find, please send. Thanks.
