Sorry for the long delay, I don't keep my Leckie research handy. I'll have to dig it out. There are two letters. One is from James Leckie in Scotland about 1852 I think. He describes the conditions during the famine there. The other is from his son a soldier in the Confederate army describing the war. Both are in the Ga. Archives on microfilm.

As soon as I can find them I'll send them along. If you don't hear in a couple of weeks remind me.
