John kept a journal which is supposedly on file with the VA Archives..has anyone connected with this John Lederer? In 1671, he mentioned three, young traders: Major Abram Wood, Tom Bolts, and Robert Fallam. These men prospered after the Occaneechi defeated the Susquahanna. The Susquahanna then flooded down into VA. Major Abram Wood "of Fort Henry on the Appomattic River" was in competition with Wm Byrd and others for the Susquahanna trade.
