DERBY CORRESPONDENCE:
The coal company here are at a stand still. MR. FULLER being notified to quit, did quit, and shipped his tools to another field of labor. Some worry therest.
DR. MOORE purchased a couple of lots south of the parsonage and will erect an edifice thereon soon. Right Dr., fix up and bring her along.
A little child of REV. HANCOX's fell from a chair and fractured its arm. DR. MOORE was called and the little fellow is doing well.
A week previous a little son of J.G. LEECH, fell from a horse and fractured his leg, but is convalescent.
Uncle PHILIP GRIM, the oldest man in our Tp., is on the sick list but not seriously, we hope.
WRIGHT NEWSON near Last Chance, has just completed a fine and commodious barn.
Christmas is coming and arrangements have been made to meet Santa Claus at the M.E. Church. But Friday night previous, the big 'Ball' of the season takes place at the Derby House.
We hear a fine span of mules died Monday out on DAVE THOMPSON's farm. Disease supposed to be pink-eye.
Uncle SIMEON CHAPMAN is plowing his sod, and JIM MCNARY gathering potatoes, but by the time the sun gets over the line, tilling the soil will have to be postponed.
