Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

The brotehr and and nephew of one of my ancestors, both named Pooler Leeman, went to Australia from Armagh, Ulster, in about 1800. They were not on the convict lists but I dont know anything more about them. One of my ancestor's other brother was a ship's carpenter. Ask Helen Apperley (see elsewhere on this column)

I emigrated to Australia in 1988.
