Starting Sept. 5, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum
message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles
will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will
no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.
My branch goes thru my grandfather, Daniel D. Leeman, b. July 1903, who's from Bailey Island, ME. His brothers and sisters were settled in the area: Woolwich, Bath, who knows where else. Most of his decendents still live in Maine. I'm in Massachusetts. My father was career Air Force and in all our travels I never met another Leeman. It wasn't until I typed "Leeman" in Yahoo search that I discovered we're everywhere. I notice from the various postings that there are several possible origins for the family: Scotland via Northern Ireland, Switzerland, Holland, England as well as a possible spelling change from Leaman or Leemon. Very confusing. So, who has it all figured out?
