Leemann is also a name of the area of Zürich, Switzerland. There are several Leemann hometowns along the lake of Zürich. Ours is Stäfa. We found the oldest Leemann family in the 14th century there (church books). There are indeed different spellings. It seems that the American Leeman dropped the last "n". You write about some countries, but you don't mention Switzerland. Didn't you find anything there? Dominique
