The story in our family is that the first Armagh Leemans were two brothers from Germany. Another story, from the Poolers, is that there were THREE Leeman brothers.

My grand-uncle said in 1916 that the Leemans were French Jews. The French-German references probably indciate they were from Alsace Lorraine - in the 1600's Germany was not a united state.
