Hi Tarja,
David and Christina Leeman were the parents of Victor and his brother and sisters. According to Deed Book 313 Page 67 Jan 09, 1912 recorded in Barnstable, Ma. the children of David and Christina Leeman were Victor Leeman of West Barnstable, Ma, Hilda Haapaniemi of Allston, Ma. Olga Laine of Cambridge, Ma, Selma Leeman of Fitchburg, Ma and William Leeman of Troy, New Hampshire. William was a minister of a finnish church in New Hampshire. The children inherited the lands of their father who died Nov 1911. William's wife was Aino born in Finland and her mother's maiden name was Niinimak.
In 1930 Selma was living with her sister Hilda Haapaniemi in Manhattan, New York as was the mother, Christina also 2 sons of Victor's--John and Victor jr. known as Elwood.
Victor Leeman had the following children--Hilda, Elwood, John, Charles, Tovio, Samuel, Ethel and Ruth. Eufamia, wife of Victor was born in Sweden. She died in the 1940's and then Victor married Lydia Niska-widow of Andrew Niska [Niskala]. Andrew Niska was actually Andrew Niskala brother to Serafina [Niskala] Polto. He shortened his name to Niska.
Hope this helps.
