The Woolwich Historical Society published a genealogy book "The Founding Fathers of Woolwich, Maine and Their Families" in October. There are eight pages written on Samuel LEEMAN and his family. Samuel, s/o Nathaniel & Mary (HUTCHINSON) LEEMAN, was b. Mar. 20, 1716 York, ME & d. Feb. 2, 1803 Woowlich. He m. Abigail SLOWMAN on Nov. 22, 1755 in Georgetown (now Woolwich). Samuel & Abigail had ten children born in Woolwich. Surnames of their children's spouses are: ATKINS, ALLEN, HALL, FOSTER, and GROVER. There's a lot of information written on the first child, Daniel, a Rev. War soldier, who married a lady by the name of Eunice ..... and followed her family and other Loyalists to St. Andrews in New Brunswick. Six of their children were born in New Brunswick. Daniel later returned and settled in Deer Island.
