LEEMAN/LEEMON in NC>TN>AL

William Leeman of Granville NC married 1)Amey Merritt; then 2) Elizabeth Cook. Amey died about 1807 in NC. William migrated to Wilson County, TN, probably married Elizabeth there, before moving to Decatur, AL, where he died about 1837.

I am searching for corroborating information on these and collateral lines. Elizabeth had 4 children, Merritt, Squire, Margaret and Elizabeth. Collateral lines include RANSOM, HARRISON, SMOOT, MERRITT, SKILLINGTON. Glad to share info. Seeking to prove Elizabeth was Cherokee.
