Joseph and Rose were my great-great Grandparents - He was Born in 1835 as you are probably aware of He and Rose had 14 children which I am aware of only 8 of them--
I know that most of them were born in Lefaivore province - some of their names were Moses, Martin, Charles, Treffley,
Joseph Jr.,Emma, Olive and Kalixte. They moved to Sarsfield,
Ottawa, and came to the U.S. In upstate N.Y. they lived in Chattaugay, N.Y.(sp)Malone,N.Y. and then to Hinkley,N.Y. where they are Buried. I don't know of any siblings that Joseph may have had. I'm kind of stuck trying to find his parents and any brothers and sisters. Finding that during the time of the French and Indian War that alot of the Information was destroyed and after that alot of the records were kept by the Catholic church and that they are not in a hurry to give any of that information out without $$ and not being able to read French well enough to be fluent Ive been struggling for the last 10 years--However if you find anything please stay in touch- we may be related -Thanks Pat LeFave (Lorries Husband)
PS my Grandfather changed the spelling(Census takers spelling)
