I thought that the information that Barb Beckett posted was most interesting:

She has David Legue and Mary Labutte married on January 7, 1865 in Kent County. It lists Mary Labutte as the daughter of Peter and Catherine -- witness Julien Labutte. (Surely between all those Labutte names we can come up with something that makes sense!) Yes, I suspect that we're part of the Labutte group from Assumption/Sandwich somehow. It is just a matter of figuing out the connections. Yes, I saw your postings to Gene and also his reply --.

I also notice that Ontario cemetary finder lists a burial for Peter Labute (note spelling is different) in Chatham -- but I can't access any more information.

So, if I understand our connections correctly, you, Barb, and myself are decended from the children of David Legue and Mary Labutte (via David Jr., Mary Jr. and Sarah Ann). Is that correct?
