I am delighted to see this posting. My grandfather was William George Leinneweber. His sisters were Birtie and Dora and Milton, Henry and Carl were his brothers. Their uncles were Christopher Columbus and Americus Vespucius. We visited Uncle Columbus and Uncle Americus and Aunt Sarah in Wimberley often when I was a child. My dad was Chester Leinneweber. My brother, Dan Leinneweber lives in San Marcos. My daughter and I researched the original George Leinneweber at the National Achives in Washington, D.C. and saw orginal census records and possible boat passage form around 1848 or so...landing in New Orleans. I would be very interested in any other information.
