Hi,George William Leinneweber was my grandfather. My ggrandfather was Pedernales whose father and mother were Elizabeth Colbath and George C. Leinneweber. There are different tales about the boat passage. Some say they came into New Orleans and then overland to Texas to the German settlements;others say they came directly to Texas.Americus Leinneweber,my great-grandfather's brother, said George C. and a brother came into New Orleans.I do not know name of ship. My first cousin,Terri Leinneweber, has an e-mail address, and may have found out more.I live in San Angelo,TX
