Ebenezer Leitch et al
Hi~
I have recently made an important link in my tree and wonder if anyone can fill in the blanks. My Great-grandfather Ebenezer was born @ 1831 in Auchtermuchty, Fifeshire and he married Margaret McCarthy (born in India.) The following information regarding their children was found on a monument in Valley cemetery in Scotland:
David d. 2/17/1910 age 1 year/9 months
Pte. Andrew Leitch d. 2/20/1917 WWI age 34
Jessie Ramsay (wife of Andrew) d. 6/1/1945 age 66
Ann Elizabeth d. 12/14/1925 age 53
Margaret (w/o Edwin Long Nickerson, my grandparents) d.11/21/1934 age 58
Ebenezer (jr.) d. 9/13/1938 age 64
James d. 6/15/1943 age 67
Jessie d. 6/13/1965 age 75
Arabella d. 12/12/1971 age 91
Amelia d. 5/26/74 age 82
The children were all born at 52 Broad Street in Stirling as far as I know. My aunt Amy lived at Mar Place House in Stirling for a time around the second world war (58 Broad Street.) My great grandmother, Margaret, was living at 7 Park Lane in Stirling in 1901 with 5 of her children.
What I want most from all of this is to find out if I have any living relatives from this family and to see if I can trace back farther from Ebenezer I and Margaret McCarthy.
Most of the above info was from Ancestry.com (census), Scotland's People (birth and death) and cemetery research from memento-mori.co.uk, a great place to find actual monuments in many Scottish cemeteries.
