Thank you Paula for your response. Since that posting, I have researched & gathered much information. I have rec'd a some copies of Harold Dihel LeMar's book, which helped. I have discovered (thanks to my cousin Jennifer Le Mar) my great-grandparents names. Frank S. & Laura Le Mar! I traced our lineage back to either Thomas or John Lamar/Lamare of Normandy, France. I have seen in Dihel's book the reference to the "de Le Maire" name as well. Thank you again for your help & good luck with your search, as well! Sandy Le Mar-Swiss
