Lemon, Leamon, Lehman, Lemmons, Layman
Hit a brick wall with my Blair family. John Blair m Margaret Skiles about 1840 and they named their son Simon Lemon. Simon later used Lemon Blair as his name. This Blair family was in Upper Leacock Twp, Lancaster County during the 1850/1860 Census and a Lemon family was living nearby. From our research of this family, we believe the name comes from John's mother's maiden name. Does anyone have a Lemon, Lemmon, Layman, Laymon, Lehman, Leamon daughter marring a Blair (could be William) about 1800 in ?, the Lancaster, Chester, York, area of Pennsylvania. These Blairs were blacksmiths and jewelers. Any information would be appreciated. Thank You.
