I've been researching the Leonard family and found prior to 1900 their name was spelled Lenard. Jacob or Jake Lenard married Eliza Romine. I found in a census report that Jacob was born in Scotland and Eliza was born in Alabama. Do you know where Lenard originated. They had four sons between 1859 and 1872. Jacob would be my gggrandfather.
I've been able to find some information on his sons but none on Jacob and Eliza and I'm thinking is has something to do with the name spelling. I'm stumped!
