The Leonard Family of Ga/Ala is the family that my husband and I have been doing research on for a number of years. This African/American family was moved to Coosa County Ala. from somewhere in Georgia. We do not know what county. Ransom Leonard was the first known Leonard in our family to date born to slave parents about 1830 in the State of Georgia. There were several other brothers and sisters by the names of Josiah, Martha, John, Liza, Reason, Charlie, Arnold, Nancy and Mandy born about 1879. We did find out that there was a slave holder by the name of J. Lennard but there is no definitive connection to this African/American family. I just hope these Family Bible Records could shed some light on the slave connection in Georgia. If you have any further information, please let me know. The EBAY site is not available for some reason. Could not reach them about this. Email: Pianopmt@aol.com
