Hi Mr. Vinson,
I am still stuck on this!Thomas Madison Leopard was my gggrandfather. He was born app. 1856 and married Georgia Ana Germany in on 5/22/1881.He died about 1898, but she didn't die until 1950-my father knew and loved her. I have Thomas in 1860 in Rusk Co.(at the age of 4) with father John and brothers Andrew and H.N.
He appears again in 1870 at the age of 14 with father John, Eliza. L., Hilary and Inez (aged 8).He again appears in 1880 at the age of 25 with father John, Eliza and Thomas's wife Sarah!Georgia Germany appears in 1880 living the Young A. Vinson family as a boarder and I thought maybe that this is how she met Thomas (if his older sister was indeed Nancy). Also Georgia's sister, Louisiana was married to Andrew Leopard which would have made another tie to the family. But I can't figure out who Eliza. is in the censuses or if this is all the same John Leopard.I would think that he is, because he is a jugmaker or potter from South Carolina in each one.Does any of this make sense or am I confusing everyone?!!Thanks,LaFonda
