Adam Leopold who lived in Denmark 1674

Adam Leopold - probably born before 1644. He was a soldier and later a farmer. He got his first child in 1668 aften having been a soldier. He then settled and married in the souther part of Denmark.

I don't know where he came from. Was he a dane or a foreigner? On June 9. 1668 he was charged for a minor offence in a Danish court.

The matter was far more serious when he again faced trial in court on October 10. 1674. He faced trial and was accused to be the murderer of the gardener Ivar Christensen from the castle in the little town Gram in the souther part of Jutland in Denmark.

The witnesses did not point Adam Leopold as the murderer but calimed that they did not recocnize the murderer. The same Ivar Christensen said shortly before he died of knife-wounds.

Nevertheless Adam Leopold flied before the judge decided his verdict. Since then nobody ever heard from Adam Leopold. He left his wife Karen Nielsdatter and 3 young children from his first marriage (I don't know the name of his first wife). His children was Anne Sabine, Jens and Jokum, aged 8, 5 and 1 in 1674.

Who was Adam Leopold? Where was he born? Where did he come from? Where did he go?

Please let me know if anyone have heard about him. He was my wife's great-6-grandfather.
