Charles Leopold/Carousel Maker

I am seeking information on Charles Leopold, one of the great master carvers during the Golden Age of Carousels at the turn of the century (1880's-1920). He was born in 1842 and resided in the Germantown section of Philadelphia, Pa. At one time he worked for the Dentzel Carousel Company. His father, also Charles, was a tailor born in 1810 in Bavaria Germany (Bayern), married to Margaret born in 1820. Charles the carousel maker/ wood carver had a son Charles Frederick Leopold (1874-1932) who married Elizabeth W. Little (1873-1950) and they had 4 children: Miriam (1903-1920),John W. (1914-1978), Elizabeth and Ruth. Thanks and appreciation for info. Please feel free to email at gail_leopold@yahoo.com
