Hello Listers, I am just starting on my Lepine line...have many other French Canadian lines complete to 1600s.
So far, have Joseph Lepine [family seems to think it might be Thiebedeau/Jambedeaux in Canada?] married to Louise about late1840s 1850s...could be in Canada or Ogdensburg, NY. Have obit that says Joseph's son Thomas J. Lapine b. April 5 1859 in Ogdensburg, NY, died Fond du Lac, WI [FDL] 27 Feb 1944. He had a sister Mary who was married to a Mr. SAUVE in Colman, WI. In 1944 there were 10 children that survived Thomas... Avila m. Doris in FDL, Thomas Jr., Joseph m. Viola, Leo in NYC, Adelbert in Detroit, Lawrence in the Service, and 4 daughters, Mrs. Frank Roloff, Chicago/Peoria, Mrs. Charles Brotherson, Chicago, Mrs. Arthur Sipe, Horicon, WI, and Mrs Frank Leu, Worchester.MA . Thomas was married to Josephine BRUNET about 1884 in FDL, she died in 1910
I am providing these names just in case one of them might strike a cord...Would like to be able to identify Joseph's
parents as well as his wife Louise.... As well as any of the other descendants of Joseph and Louise...There seems to be so many Lepines that moved to the New England area in the mid 1800s...It is intersting to note that one of Thomas' daughters moved to Worchester, MA. with Frank LEU...which may be a fairly uncommon name...TG
