Tom & Barb.
Seems like we are related. I have the family tree from my mother who passed away 12/2003. I do not know how much of this is verified. She listed a Joseph Berard dit LePine Sr. who was married to Marguerite Barthe-Belleville. One child was listed although there may have been more as LePine (M) born 1796 in Canada died after 1880 in Canada. He was married (9/7/1818 to Alnora Belill-Bolia (b) 1791 in Canada (d) 1880 in Pepin Cty, WI. They had 5 children, Louis (1824), Joseph Leonin (12/1826), John (7/29/1830), Celia (1835) and Julia (8/9/1839).

Joseph Leonin married Elizabeth/Louise Rondeau 1/18/1848. They had 12 children. Margaret (5/2/1849), Joseph (8/10/1850), Francis (1/25/1853), John/Jean Baptiste (9/2/1854), Josephine (10/24/1856)My GGM, Rouses Point, Clinton Cty, NY Peter (Pierre) (6/13/1858), Thomas 4/5/1860, all born in Champlain, Clinton Cty, NY, Mary Marie Adelaide (5/4/1862) born Fondulac, WI., Solomon 6/21/1864, Flora (6/24/1866), Ellen (7/11/1868), Louis (9/30/1870). The last 5 were born in Fondulac, WI.

I have much more info that we can share if we are on the right track.
