Hi. I found a couple of leads on Andre Lepine:

Canadian Genealogy Index, 1600s-1900s about Pvt. Andre Lepine
Name:        Pvt. Andre Lepine
Event:        Living
Province: QC
County: Drummond
Place:        L'Avenir, Drummond, QC
Source: Eric Jonasson, Canadian Veterans of the War of 1812, Wheatfield Press, Winnipeg, 1981.
Volume/Page:        42

Here is a possible burial record for him from the Quebec, Vital and Church Records (Drouin Collection), 1621-1967:

Andre Lepine, macon, widower of deceased Angele Lafond, d. 31 Apr, bur 2 May 1882 L'Avenir (St-Pierre-de-Durham), Drummon County, Quebec, age 96.

Here is his marriage:

Andre Lepine (widower of Angelique Deshaies)
m. 17 Jul 1820 Baie-du-Febvre (St-Antoine-de-Padoue), Yamaska County, Quebec
Angele Lafond (Gabriel Lafond & Marie Prou)

Perhaps they are the parents of Augustin. Here is a family that might belong to Gustave:

1861 Census of Canada about Augustin Lepine

Adolph Lepine 9 b. 1852 Que
Julie Lepine 7 b. 1854 Que
Isabella Lepine 5 b. 1856 Que
Mary Lepine 1 b. 1860 Que

This might be a baptism for son, Adolph:

Adolph Lepine, b. 26 Nov, bap 26 Nov 1850 Ste-Foy (Notre-Dame-de-Foy), Quebec County, Quebec, son of Augustin Lepine & Ann Driscoll.

And Julie:

Julie Lepine, b. 10 Jun, bap. 10 Jun 1853 Ste-Foy (Notre-Dame-de-Foy), daughter of Augustin Lepine & Ann Driscoll.

And Isabella:

Marie Elizabeth Lepine, b. 2 Oct, bap 2 Oct 1855 Ste-Foy (Notre-Dame-de-Foy), daughter of Augustine Lepine & Anna Driscoll.

Here is a marriage for this couple:

Augustin Monette dit Lepine (Augustin Monette dit Lepine & Angele Trepanier of St-Raymond)
m. 9 Jan 1844 Ste-Catherine-de-la-Jacques-Cartier (Fossembault), Portneuf County, Quebec
Hannah Driscoll (Denis Driscoll & Anna McCarthy of St-Bazil)

Family trees on Ancestry has the couple named Augustin Marette dit Lepine & Johanna Driscoll.

The bad thing about this is that Augustin is NOT the son of Andre... and Hannah Driscoll is far from Emily Courchaine.. So, instead of deleting all of the above, I will leave it there in order for you to rule out this family as yours.

Where is Gustave & his parents???? Annie
