Emile I have just purchased a computer and I am so happy to do some family tree work on it. MY G-G Grandfather was Louis Le'pine .Born about 1802 near Montreal Quebec and died 1855 at Lafontaine Ontario. He was at Drummond Island in 1825 as my G-Grandmother F rancis Le'pine was born there. She is the only child I am aware of. She married Wm. Rawson at Penetang Ont. in 1841. I think Louis wife was Lizzette or Elizabeth but have not been able to find out after years of research. Louis wife was Indian and her death was not recorded . I would be SO GREATFUL for any information on this marriage that you might have. Louis father I think was PIERRE and he is buried in Penetang which is very near to Lafontaine. His wife I believe is Angelique . My Le'pines were voyaguers and travelled up and down the Mississippi River. Ihave been told that it was common for these men to have a wife in USA and in CANADA. Regards Lena
