ORIGEN OF LEPINE NAME... Early Ancestors
Posted by: Joe Date: March 12, 2001 at 14:49:27

My ancestor Gabriel Berard dit LePine, was born 1644, Chateau du Loir, France. Most of his descendant families seem to have taken the Berard surname but I believe some took the Lepine surname.

Does anyone know when or where the LePine, Lepine or L'pine name originated? Have some of the early Lepine ancestors been identified?

Thank you for any help you can give me on this.
