Donna,This is what I have.John William Lepper born July 19, 1895 in Missouri; died November 29, 1965 in Fulton, Callaway County, Missouri; buried Memorial Park Cemetery, Moberly, Randolph County, Missouri.Married Minnie Alice Wilson January 30, 1917, in Randolph County, Missouri. She was born May 4, 1899 in Kentucky and died January 15, 1983 in Moberly, Randolph County, Missouri; buried in Memorial Park Cemetery, Moberly, Randolph County, Missouri. Here is her obit taken from the Moberly Monitor-Index dated Monday, January 17, 1983."Minnie Alice Lepper, 83, of 501 Fulton avenue died at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday at the Moberly Regional Medical Center. She was born in Kentucky on May 4, 1899 to Leander C. Wilson and Jehoda Havens. She had lived most of her life in the Moberly avea. She was a member of the Union Avenue Christian Church.Survivors include; three daughters, Lorene Wilson, Moberly; Patty Smith, Rucker; Mary Gallup (sic), Mexico; son, LeRoy Lepper, Centralia; two sisters, Ethel Robinson, Kansas City, MO; Mary Wood Ford, California; and a brother Everett Wilson, Moberly; 30 grandchildren, 74 great-grandchildren, and a number of great-great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her husband, John William (Bill) who died on Nov. 29, 1965; five children; one grandson; four brothers and three sisters.Services will be held at 1:30 on Tuesday at the Cater Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Bourne of the Union Avenue Christian Church officiating.Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery.Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. today."
Also, my records show that John William Lepper had a brother by the name of Ernest who was born abt 1892 in Missouri and was married to a Ruth who was born abt 1897 in Oklahoma.
I believe two of John William's daughters are still living; Betty Lou and Lorene Frances.I know for sure that Mary Elizabeth, and Kenneth LeRoy are deceased. The Patty Smith the obit refers to must be Betty Lou....
My relationship to the Lepper's is non-direct, but anytime I can connect information, I always do, just in case someone else can use the info.My connection is with John William's daughter Mary Elizabeth, who married my husband's great uncle Lucian Gallop.Who are you connected through??I kind of know of the Lepper family. If you are connected through Leroy, I have some questions that you might be able to help me with on another line I am working on.If you have any other questions, please feel free to email me privately.Doras
