Mary Troy was the daughter of Jane Tighe and John Troy and was born in Canada in the 1850s or 1860s. Her parents were James Tighe and Mary McHale both born in Ireland. Mary MCHale Tighe came to Canada in the 1840s or early 1850. John Troy and Jane Tighe had three girls: Cecilia, Mary, and Dorothy. John Troy and Jane Tighe Troy died in an epidemic in Kingston and the grandmother Mary McHale Tighe took the three girls to Michigan to Isabella County to the Thomas and Dorothy Judge farm in Winn. Dorothy was Jane Tighe's sister. Mary Troy married ? LeStrange who was probably from the Mount Pleasant/ Gladwin Mi area. This couple had Blanche, Frank, and William. William LeStrange married Jenny Kenny and they had three children Reginald who lived in Traverse City, Mi, Marion who married Charles Collins in Grand Rapids and Felice who did not not marry. Mary Troy LeStrange's sister Dorothy married John C. Shaffer and they lived in Gladwin with their children Donna and John Shaffer. Donna married John Williams. I would be glad to hear from any descendants of these families.
