Here is the information I have on his father. Let me know if I have my Alexanders straight!

Owned several pieces of land in Calvert Co, Md. Information from hall of records, Annapolis, Md.
Lived at "Craighnaigh". Owned "Dunblane,Alexandria,Good Luck, and Anchovie HIlls" in Md.
Fought in the battle of Preston in 1648 or at the Battle of Worcester in 1651.
Will probated July 25,1677,Md.
