John Letellier and Marietta Wingo were married on 25 March 1835 in Albermarle County, Virginia. Marriage reported in the Religious Herald dated 4/3/1834. John Letellier was born in 1810.

Marietta Wingo was born before 1815 in Virginia. Died about 1860 in Charlottesville, Albemarle County, Virginia. She was the daughter of William Wingo and Frances Bosher of King William County, Virginia. On March 13, 1833 the court of Henrico County, (Virginia) appointed James Bosher guardian for William Wingo & Charles Wingo & Marietta Wingo, orphans of Francis (Bosher) Wingo, deceased. 3. William Booker Letellier was born in 1840 in Albemarle County, Virginia. Died 11 Aug 1863 in Chester, Pennsylvania. Married Mary S. “Mollie” Martin on 13 Feb 1861 in Albemarle County, Virginia.

Married before 1870 to Frances Patton Young born 2 Mar 1847 in Kentucky the daughter of Rev. James Young and Rebecca Patton. She died 10 Sep 1914 in Sherman, Grayson County, Texas.

Clifford LeTellier (daughter) born 13 Oct 1877 in Grayson, Texas and died 27 Apr 1954 in Waco, McLennan, Texas.

Born in Virginia. Educated at Bethany College in 1861. He joined Confederate Army, serving in Co. K, 24th VA, Inf. Fought in battles of Manassas, Williamsburg, Seven Pines, Gettysburg and others. Received several wounds, one serious (at Plymouth). Resumed teaching at end of war. Came to Texas and operated the Sherman Private School 1871 - 1913. A dynamic teacher and expert in math, he taught many persons who later rose to prominence.

30 May 1861 - Enlisted at Lynchburg, Virginia as Sergeant in CSA, Capt, Co. K, 24th Regiment Virginia Infantry.

Note: There are numerous family trees listing a death date of 26 Jan 1936 in Wichita Falls, TX for Marietta LeTellier Buchanan, but the death certificate for Marietta Buchanan who died in Wichita Falls on that date names her father as Harrison McElroy and states that she was born in Marietta, OH. That is an incorrect date of death and does not pertain to Marietta LeTellier.
