Hi Sandra,
I have a 6 volume set of genealogy of Letendres. I found your family quickly by your grandmother's maiden name. Louis Napoleon Letendre was born 12/12/1908 in Middleboro, MA married 9/21/1931 in Fall River to Yvonne Renaud born 1909.'Their children:
Marie-Dolores b.2/19/1932 M. 2/23/1952 to Robert Gauthier
Arthur Letendre born 6/6/1934 in Fall River, that's all we have on your father.
Raymond b. 8/4/1935 m. 10/20/1956 Barbara Fernandes
Henry b. 8/11/1937 m. 5/5/1956 Janet Pierce
Normand b. 2/22/1939 m. Barbara William
Roger b. 7/23/1941 m. 7/30/1960 Charlotte Sauza
We are connected 8 generations back. We have a common ancestor in Jean-Baptiste Letendre married to Madeleine Louise Cardin.
There is a cousin from Woonsocket RI who was murdered because his gambling operation interfered with the mob. His name was John Felix Letendre better known as Big Jack Letendre. He was my father's first cousin and died in 1946.
If you send me your email address I can send a copy of your grandfather's page as an attachment. I can't do it in this forum.
Are you anywhere around the Fall River area? I am in Swansea.
